HISTORY OF LEGACY FUND
In 2002, the Board of Directors of the Woodburn Christian Children’s Home authorized the establishment of a special endowment fund to be used for the continued support and welfare of WCCH. This special fund was created as a way for generations of Christians to uphold the WCCH vision statement found in James 1:27, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." Over 20 years later the fund continues to be supported by generations of Kingdom servants, longtime supporters, and friends of WCCH. At the time of the resolution the Board named longtime Director Denny Baker as an example of someone who lived sacrificially for the betterment of others and thus named the fund. Since 2002, hundreds and hundreds of names have been added to the list of contributors alongside Denny. Together, their work in the lives of children stands as a lasting legacy. |
