Strong and Courageous Strategic Expansion
The vision, based on Joshua 1:9 expands how we care for children and the number of children in our care.  At WCCH, we do not raise victims, we raise strong and courageous overcomers in Christ. The WCCH vision, launched in 2021 seeks to fulfill this eternal goal.

Strategic Initiatives
  • Expand how WCCH cares for children and families through the construction of a 13,000 SF multipurpose Learning and Counseling Center (completed April 2023).
  • Expand how we care for children through the construction of on-grounds housing for WCCH children who graduate high school (Spring 2026 groundbreaking).
  • Expand the number of children in our care through the construction of a third 10-bedroom residential home for children (potentially 2025/26).
  • As dedicated champions for those we serve, the Woodburn Christian Children's Home aggressively pursues innovative solutions to the needs of discouraged children, empowering them to realize their dreams.
  • Every child needs a champion to be Strong and Courageous... be that Champion!

New Transitional Home for Older Youth:
  • WCCH intends to minister to older youth and young adults by providing opportunities to gain life skills to live healthy, productive and responsible lives as self-sufficient adults. The primary goal is to help in the development of a Biblical worldview upon which they can build an understanding of God’s world to determine the next steps in life and faith.
  • WCCH staff will minister through Biblical studies, daily living, vocational education, employment, financial management, and related physical and mental health needs.
  • Having graduated high school, this group of young adults are vulnerable especially needing a safe and secure home. Every child, regardless of age needs a place where they know God’s love is central.
  • We are excited to announce that two families have collectively donated $345,000 toward the initiative. In response to their faithful generosity, we ask you to prayerfully consider joining them. The initial cost estimate to build a home with four sets of dorm-style apartments, each with two bedrooms, is $800,000. This includes site planning and initial startup costs.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
